Greengate – Manchester’s Greenest District

Greengate has seen significant development over recent years, transforming the area into Manchester’s greenest hub. The developments taking place mostly consist of residential and leisure spaces, filling this part of town with exceptional cafés and celebrated Manchester businesses such as Salford Distillery.

We recently took a walk around to explore and see what’s new in the area. Greengate Park sits at the heart of Greengate in a lovely setting surrounded by shops, cafés, and stunning residential developments. With it only being a 5-minute walk from Deansgate, it’s no wonder developers, residents and businesses are choosing this area to invest in.

The area is evidently big on wellness, with a wide range of spas, gyms, and studios catering to the growing community. Amazing independent cafés are littered throughout, providing freshly baked goods and excellent coffee, whilst a host of leisure and residential buildings complement the area’s character. Alongside these, several office buildings have established themselves in Greengate, offering workspace options that combine accessibility with the area’s relaxed environment.

Originally known as ‘Manchester Baths’, the Grade II listed building was sensitively restored and converted to studio workspace by OMI Architects, who are still tenants of the building today.
