Protector Insurance Finds New HQ

| Helen Hallsworth

Over the last 12 months, we have been helping more and more businesses find the right office space.

We were recently instructed by Scandinavian Insurance provider Protector to search for and acquire new offices to support their rapid expansion plans.

Established in 2004, Protector delivers land-based insurance to the commercial and public sectors through insurance brokers.

Following an extensive search of Grade A offices in Manchester city centre, a suite of 9,818 sq ft at 3 Hardman Street was identified the most suitable option. Utilising our market knowledge and expertise, we were able to negotiate attractive financial terms for Protector, achieving a reduction from the quoting rental and agreeing a sizeable incentive package, whilst ensuring the lease terms were “tenant-friendly” in all other respects. We also brought in BWP Consultants to advise Protector in project managing the fit out of the accommodation.

Director Conrad O’Neill said: “Manchester represents Protector’s first UK office and this move confirms their commitment to the city and underlines their growth plans. Protector were immediately drawn to Spinningfields as a world class business location. The Manchester office will be Protector’s UK Head Office and is forecast to grow to 60 -70 staff in the next 2-3 years with further expansion planned beyond that. The offices at 3 Hardman Street make a huge statement about Protector’s plans to grow the business in the UK”.
