Major South Manchester Letting For Praxis

Praxis has signed up Brammer Buck & Hickman to Dakota House at Concorde Business Park in one of South Manchester’s largest lettings this year.

Brammer Buck & Hickman, part of Rubix – Europe’s largest maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products distribution business, is consolidating its Wythenshawe and Knutsford offices into 20,000 sq ft on the first and second floors of the newly refurbished building. The deal means all but 18,000 sq ft of Dakota House is now leased.

Concord Business Park is widely regarded as one of the premier business parks in South Manchester and benefits from its proximity to Manchester Airport and the regional motorway network. Praxis acquired the park from Max Properties in 2015 as part of the Garden Portfolio.

The latest deal at Dakota House comes after Praxis undertook a full refurbishment programme of the 3-storey building to provide Grade A office accommodation accessed via a double height glazed reception.

Cécile Parker, CFO for UK, Ireland & Iceland at Brammer Buck & Hickman commented, “This new move is just one step in a strategic plan to accelerate our business growth both in the UK and the wider market. By moving to these new, high tech and spacious offices, we aim to boost company productivity and efficiency by providing our colleagues with an exceptional working environment. We spent over 30 years at our previous site so the move to Dakota House marks an exciting new start for all the teams. Throughout this process, we’ve had a successful and positive experience working alongside Praxis and look forward to continuing this partnership into the new year.”

Speaking about the deal, James Dickinson, director at Canning O’Neill, commented: “The recent opening of the A555 Airport relief road has provided excellent access from Dakota House to the M56 and wider regional network. The refurbished space is highly impressive and an ideal location for a distribution business such as Brammer Buck & Hickman.”

Richard Harrison, Asset Manager at Praxis commented: “The Airport City development means this micro-location has become one of Manchester’s primary business destinations. There are few schemes of this size available in South Manchester and we are pleased to have been able to meet our tenant’s needs in terms of location, quality of space and size.”

Canning O’Neill, Williams Sillitoe and Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Praxis.
