About Empress Business Centre, 380 Chester Road, Old Trafford, M16 9ea

Empress Business Centre is a modern business environment only 10 minutes away from Deansgate and Manchester City Centre.

Once the Empress Brewery, the business centre has been renovated, while retaining much of its original Victorian character. Some offices still contain vaulted ceilings and the original wrought-iron staircase has been retained. As well as office space, there is storage space and workshops to rent, flexible co-working space, meeting rooms for hire and a mailbox service. The centre provided free car parking and also benefits from a visitors’ car park.

It is managed by a friendly on-site team. Administrators can provide secretarial support as and when you need it from the central reception on the ground floor. This includes a telephone answering service, photocopying and faxing. The reception is open 9 am – 5 pm, but access is available at all times via the security team. A CCTV system monitors the car parks and entrances and exits to the building, giving you total peace of mind.

The ground floor is also home to our break-out area, where you can relax and get to know staff from other companies based at the business centre.

You can opt for licences from 1- 12 months, with instant access and with units ranging from 100 – 2,000 sq ft, there’s a home here for you whether your business is small, medium or large.

Empress Business Centre is based on Chester Road in the Old Trafford area to the south-west of Manchester City centre and is well-connected to the rail, Metrolink, bus and road networks.

  • Road: there is direct access to the M60 via the A56, the M602 is a seven minutes’ drive away and the M62 is less than 10 minutes away.
  • Rail: the nearest train stations are Deansgate (also a tram stop), which is 0.7 miles away and Manchester Oxford Road, one mile away.
  • Tram: Cornbrook tram station is 0.4 miles away, or an eight-minute walk.
  • Bus: Buses 84, 255 and 256 stop nearby.
