Canning O’Neill has advised a European data centre operator on the Freehold acquisition of Broadway House and its adjacent site in Salford Quays, for redevelopment as two new data centres.
The deal was concluded off market with Jonathan Baucher of B1 Real Estate, acting on behalf of the Vendor – a private overseas client.
Broadway House (21,000 sq ft) was originally built by Orbit Developments to shell, with the site providing for the construction of a further 40,000 sq ft. Orbit sold the property in 2017.
