TalkTalk take Boilerhouse at Soapworks

soap1-768x513The Boilerhouse at Soapworks Salford Quays has now been fully let to TalkTalk to be used as a meeting and training facility.  The telecoms company has agreed a 10-year lease and are expected to become operational in March 2015.

The Boilerhouse comprises 20,000 sq ft over four floors and is located right on the water’s edge of the River Irwell. It forms the first phase of Soapworks, a 400,000 sq ft redevelopment of the former Colgate-Palmolive factory, with phase two due to complete in November.

The letting is one of largest in Salford’s Media City development since 2010.

The site comprises approximately 8.5 acres so there is a substantial amount of on-site car parking whilst Exchange Quay Metrolink station and various bus routes are easily accessible on foot.

Phase 2 construction of over 200,000 sq ft is now well underway and is available for fitting out immediately.
