Property development and investment company, Quorum has secured its first new occupier at its Handforth town centre office building, Chadsworth House, upon completion of an extensive refurbishment programme.

Established commercial and residential furniture supplier, Rosehill FF&E Limited, has taken the largest suite in the building, relocating from nearby Brooke Park to lease 3,322 sq ft on the first floor. Terms were agreed on a six-year lease.

Located centrally in Handforth town on Wilmslow Road, the 12,963 sq ft former school building has recently been overhauled internally and externally upon vacation of long-standing tenant, IBI Group. Providing modern self-contained commercial accommodation, the building now has new double-glazing throughout, LED lighting, suspended ceilings, new kitchens installed, new carpets throughout and new WCs and shower room.

There is extensive car parking on site as well as free public parking adjacent. In addition, tenants have access to a range of amenities at The Paddock Shopping Centre and are just a few minutes’ drive to John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and M&S.

Simon Gardner of Williams Sillitoe, joint letting agents for the scheme with Canning O’Neill, commented: “Quorum has worked effectively, taking back full occupation Chadsworth House and transforming it into desirable, modern accommodation. The letting to Rosehill pays testament to the investment made and Quorum’s recognition of the building’s fantastic location and amenities provision.  With strong interest in the remaining suites, we hope to be able to announce further lettings soon”

Mark Foster, managing director at Rosehill continued: “Over the last 12 months, we have successfully secured a number of contracts in the PRS and student accommodation markets. These new offices will help support our ongoing growth and provide us with an excellent client-facing environment.”

Chadsworth House can be let as individual suites from 2,049 sq ft at a quoting rent of £15 per sq ft.
