Altitude Atlas Business Park Manchester AirportMCR Property Group has bought Altitude, a 45,415 sq ft office building on Atlas Business Park close to Manchester Airport.

Previously known as Oceanic House, the vacant office building provides office space near Manchester Airport over three floors with 231 onsite car parking spaces. The Manchester Airport-Cornbrook Metrolink line stops directly outside the building.

MCR Property Group will be comprehensively refurbishing the building to a Grade A specification and introducing a stunning new reception /entrance.

The office space will be available to rent as a whole or on a floor-by-floor basis.

John Poole, head of commercial at MCR Property Group, said: “Altitude is an excellent addition to our Manchester portfolio. The south Manchester market seems void of quality grade A accommodation of this size, and we plan to capitalise on this opportunity. “We are planning a comprehensive refurbishment of the building, due to complete by February 2016.”

James Dickinson of Canning O’Neill, who is joint agent for the scheme with Rob Yates of Cushman and Wakefield, said: “This building not only provides large 15,000 sq ft plus floor plates but it also benefits from Enterprise Zone status meaning substantial business rates relief for occupiers moving in from outside of this zone.”With the region’s motorway network easily accessible via the M56 and the superb Metrolink connection it is extremely well-located from a communications point of view. We are already receiving good levels of enquiry for the building.”
