Ocean House at the Towers Business Park  has secured US-based SPX Corporation as a new tenant, report Manchester Office Property Agents, Canning O’Neill.

This 37,258 sq ft Didsbury office building was held on lease by Mapeley Estates, as part of their Abbey Portfolio. Mapeley surrendered their lease on the whole building and SPX Corporation are taking a new lease direct from the landlord on 2 floors, totalling c. 24,000 sq ft for a new multi-lingual  Shared Service Centre, which will open in Spring 2010, creating 160 new jobs in Manchester. SPX are a global manufacturer and supplier of industrial equipment.

Ocean House was built in 1996 and was previously occupied by Abbey National as a call centre.
