| Mandy

The newly formed data centre business, DataCentred has taken a 15 year lease on 32,169 sq ft at Michigan Park, Salford Quays, adjacent to MediaCityUK.

The premises were previously operated as a data centre by Fujitsu but became surplus to its requirements, allowing the Japanese electronics giant to undertake the early surrender of a lease from landlord Peel Properties (Investments) Ltd that was due to expire in July 2013.

Mark Canning of Canning O’Neill acted for DataCentred, Ruper Barron of Colliers International acted on behalf of Peel Properties and Fujitsu.

DataCentred is a new company providing data centre, computing and cloud computing services to public and private sector organisations and is led by Mike Kelly.  Mike previously built and floated one of the first companies worldwide to provide pure data centre based collocation space; establishing it as the major European player in collocation and data centre facilities, with over 30 locations across the world.
