The UK’s leading authority in hair loss, Farjo Medical Centre, has announced its plans to open the country’s first hair transplant centre of excellence in Manchester.
Farjo has invested £1 million in new premises on Quay Street, which will be delveoped into a state of the art hair transplant training academy and fully operating surgery.
Established in 1992, the Farjo Medical Centre will move from its current location on Chorlton Street in April 2013, to the new self contained 4,300 sq ft Georgian style building.
Led by the Medical Director of the Institute of Trichologists, Dr Bessam Farjo, the team has also recently increased in anticipation of next year’s ambititious plans, with the appointment of hair restoration and Plastic surgeon, Dr Greg Williams FRCS (Plast).
Dr Farjo, founder of the Farjo Medical Centre said “It is an exciting time for us, as we enter our 20th year, with the purchase of new premises and the expansion of our team. This marks a significant milestone for us within the industry and will help in our aim of setting up a groundbreaking centre of excellence – establishing the first hair transplant training academy in the country, as well as the highest level of standard for patients undergoing surgery”.
Prior to joining the Farjo Medical Centre, Dr WIlliams was a senior consultant burn surgeon at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital – the only NHS specialist burn service in London.
Commercial property agents, Canning O’Neill, acted for the vendor in the sale of 70 Quay Street, Director, James Dickinson said, “This acquisition demonstrates the optimism in a returning economy and also in purchasing commercial property. Farjo is set to bring the first hair transplant centre of excellence to the UK and it has chosen Manchester as its desired location; 70 Quay Street provides the clinic with a self contained building in the heart of the city centre”.
