The Alchemist has taken a five-year lease in a deal that follows the letting of the second floor to commercial and residential furniture supplier Rosehill FF&E on a six-year lease.

The deal will see The Alchemist’s staff move out of parent group Living Ventures’ office in King Street, Knutsford.

The 12,963 sq ft building, located on the main Wilmslow Road, was refurbished following the departure of long-standing tenant, IBI Group.

Simon Potts, managing director at The Alchemist, said: “The move to Handforth is an important new chapter for The Alchemist. We are all really excited to be making the move into such a fantastic space which will be home to a team of 25 staff and will provide a flexible working environment for many of our employees across the UK.”

James Dickinson, director of Canning O’Neill, joint letting agents with Williams Commercial, said: “Fully letting Chadsworth House so quickly after the departure of the previous tenant underlines the strength of demand in the South Manchester market for high quality accommodation.”

“Quorum’s investment in the property was a calculated risk but their knowledge of the local market and experience in property has enabled them to create an exceptional space which is far superior to many other offices in the area”
