Quacking News!

The 2018 Quays Annual Easter Duck Race took place on Good Friday (30.03.18) at the Helly Hanson Watersports Centre, Salford Quays.

The fun packed afternoon was a huge success with over 850 bright yellow ducks taking to the water for the MedEquip4Kids Quays Duck Race. The lucky duck to cross the finish line first won it’s owner a meal and drinks for four at The Alchemist.

To help with the fundraising, Canning O’Neill sponsored a mega-duck and, after a bit of artistic licence, entered ‘her’ into the Corporate Duck Race and we are delighted to announce she won the race!

MedEquip4Kids is a children’s charity that improves the health of children and babies in the UK by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. They believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most.

Since 1985 MedEquip4Kids has raised over £20 million to fund lifesaving paediatric medical equipment, play facilities in hospitals, specialised equipment for disabled children, and resources to improve children’s mental health.

This year was the best turn out to date, raising £5,000 for the charity, so well done to everyone who sponsored a duck or simply turned up to show their support for this cracking event!
